Achievement of higher – level strategy
Health care organizations follow various strategies that are intended to achieve different
operations involved in the process. The directional strategy is particularly involved to enable the
employees of the organization to remain organized and launch operations that seem to align with
the organizational goals. This strategy will also help in the attainment of objectives as desired by
the organization.
The adaptive strategy is the most important of all strategies as it will help in the
management and control of changes and different situations that might arise at any point of time.
The advantage with the adaptive strategy is that it will increase the flexibility and reduce the
degree of risk associated with the organization. The disadvantage with this strategy is the method
to manage changes and obtain the positive responses from the employees.
The market entry strategy is the method to get recognized in the target market and gain
maximum market share. This is performed with the help of PESTEL analysis so that the factors
influencing the organization can be taken into consideration and managed. The advantage of this
strategic alternative is that it will give better idea on the market background and the basic
strategies that will enable the organization to grow after overcoming the entrants. The
disadvantage is the poor understanding or poor choice of market or poor format of analysis that
will affect the attainment of goals of the organization.
Competitive strategy is one such strategy that every healthcare organization should keep
in mind at all times. The threat of new entrants has been increasing over the recent times. The
best way to manage the competitive strategy is to deploy the SWOT analysis. The advantage is

to gain customer loyalty, satisfaction and value proposition. The disadvantage with this strategic
alternative is that there is a constant need to remain on track with the competitiveness with
proper differentiation strategies.
These strategic alternatives will help in the achievement of a higher – level strategy and
these are explained below (Liabotis, 2007).

 The capabilities of the organization are maximized
Each of these strategies will help in better evaluation of the environment and clear vision of the
organization with the removal of unwanted chaos. The process and business strategies are
improved and the high – level strategy is attained with an increased space that is available
exclusively for innovation. The execution seems to have better result with proper leadership
strategies and performance management of the employees who are involved in the health care
organization (Nielson, 2011). The increase in competitiveness will support the integration of
organization with the customers.

applications. There is always a need to remain safer and this is feasible with the launch of
adaptive strategy. The action plan of a health care organization is developed with the focus on a

strategy so as to maintain the financial performance of the company.
