For your selected organisation or facility carryout a literature search or interviews with relevant persons to determine the life cycle of an asset within your organisation. In your response you should include tables and diagrams where appropriate to support your discussion.
1.Utilising an identified and described asset from within the student’s organisation discuss and outline the current asset life cycle methodology adopted by the organisation.
2.Critic the organisations current asset life cycle methodology and outline 3 areas of improvement.
Question 2. Operating Strategy (10 marks)
For your selected organisation or facility carryout a literature search or interviews with relevant persons to determine the operating strategy. In your response you should include tables and diagrams where appropriate to support your discussion.
1.Describe the plant processes and the operating strategy for your selected organisation orfacility.
2.At a high level describe and outline the current maintenance strategy adopted by the organisation, including the percentage of work completed within the 4 known maintenance strategies.
3.Discuss the impact of internal and external influences on the development of maintenancestrategy within your organisation. Your response should include at least 2 internal influencesand 2 external influences that impact the maintenance strategy.
4.Discuss the effectiveness of the current maintenance strategy to meet the requirements ofthe organisation.
5.Outline and discuss with improvement initiatives and expected improvement outcomes, 3 areas where the current maintenance strategy fails to meet the requirements of your organisation.
