Q3: A patient is suspected of having a sleep-related breathing disorder. How should this patient be assessed? (15 marks)
Q5: Name each of the bright green marked events A, B, C and D within each imageand explain thefeatures of the traces that led you to your conclusion. (2 marks per event, totalling 8 marks each image).
In all images:
* EEG arousals are marked by red rectangles,
* Oxygen desaturations that are 3% or more are marked by pink rectangles. You may not be able to see a 3% change in the numbers, but if there is a desaturation marked there is definitely a 3% desaturation present.
* The green rectangles represents the events you need to identify. All are > 10 seconds duration. Note that not all of the green marked areas fulfil the criteria for scoring an event. If they do not meet criteria, explain why not.
Note: If you right click on an image and save it to your computer you will be able to zoom in and examine the traces in more detail.
Q5a: 3 min page (numbers on the Position trace are the sleep stages and vertical lines next to these numbers indicate 30 second epoch boundaries)
