An analysis of the cinder shows 81.71% Fe2O3, 2.19% FeS2, and 16.1% gangue. 20% excess air is supplied based on conversion to SO3. The burner gas is passed directly to a converter. 96% of the sulfur burned is converted to SO3in the burner and converter.
