Pyrexia (fever) can be classed as
Low-grade: 38–39ºC (100.4–102.2ºF)
Moderate: 39–40ºC (102.2–104ºF)
High-grade: >40ºC (>104ºF)
Hyperpyrexia: >42ºC (>107.6ºF) (a medical emergency)
During clinical placements identify patients who have changes in temperature.
