Task: For this project you will select a large-sized company (must operate in Australia) upon which you will conduct a corporate reputation and identity audit. Using a triangulation of research methods and information sources approach, you will assess how the company projects its image and its stakeholders’ perceptions (i.e. in the minds of the stakeholders, do the company’s “words and deeds” generally align?)

Introduction
The company has been analysed on the basis of its actions - both positive and negative through its actions and behaviour with the public, government and other related stakeholders. Any action or policy by a company has direct impact over its brand image which in turn grossly affects its sales volume and revenue in the long run. The growth and survival of a business is largely inherited from the consumer’s confidence and trust by affecting the bottom line of the company. Big companies like Toyota and Woolworth work really hard through strategic manner in order to stand their position in the world.
Company Background
Woolworth is one the largest retail company based in Australia as well as that in New Zealand. For the year 2015, Woolworth ($61.149 billion) ranks second after West farmers ($62.777 billion) in terms of revenue generation (Pierce, 2016). The supermarkets giants of Australia have been found to be at 176th position due to Woolworths whereas the top notch Australian supermarket retail store ranks 171st in Fortune 500 companies of the year 2015. Woolworths operates under various segments including petrol, supermarkets, home goods and products and liquor, etc. and currently employs over 200,000 employees. In terms of market capitalisation, it is the largest food retailer in Australia basically due to its age old reputation in the world market as the first store of the company was opened in 1924 (Hatch, 2016).
Factors influencing the organization and its reputation
PEST Analysis of Woolworths
            Being the most successful retail chain of stores in the country, the company offers quality products such as petrol, liquor, food items, groceries, and other general merchant goods. The company has been serving the Australian and New Zealand communities since 87 years and it has significant role in producing wealth for shareholders along with rise in investment level into its infrastructural facilities for producing efficiently into manufacturing sector as well as that in agricultural sector (Woolworths Limited, n.d.)
Political Factors
The retail trading of the company greatly benefitted from the cooperation agreement of the two countries that is, Australia and New Zealand under the name of Australia-New Zealand Closer Economic Relations Trade Agreement (ANZCERTA). Due to stability in the political environment of these countries, the company reaps greater net benefits in both foreing and national business functions.
Economic Factors
            The standard of living in both the given countries is quite high basically due to its higher growth rate in GDP and also due to balanced purchasing power parity in terms of their currencies. It means that the exports of countries are quite high thus remunerating the success of retail chain stores such as that of Woolworth and Wellington.
Socio-cultural factors
            The company follows the sustainable strategy 2007-15 in order to promote green living styles and following the practices which are sustainable in the corporate world. Hence, it attracts new customers and investors because of its green tag and maintaining its organic nature of its products.
Technological Factors
            For the satisfaction of its customers, the services provided by the company are efficient with maximum convenience. For instance, each retail store of Woolworth has installed the checkout machineries for scanning, weighing and payment of their purchases through any mode. Also, it also makes use of Service Oriented Architecture Software in order to identify the bottlenecks in their retail services and leads to reduction in cost (Palmer, 2008). Also, it has indulged into using Visa’s payWave so that there is reduction in the waiting timings of their customers to pay for their purchases (Budmar, 2011).
