Purpose


The purpose of an educational factsheet is to provide practical, field-related information on:The role of the helping professions in fostering sustainable communitiesfor a specific target audience conveyed effectively, clearly and concisely through both text and graphics.


Process



To complete this task, select ONE community-based sustainability issue that is related to the work submitted for Assessment 1 and think critically about the role of helping professions in fostering sustainability with respect to this issue. Identify a relevant target audience (e.g. community groups, students) and then consider how to convey facts about the sustainability issue in an effective and communicative manner.


The resulting document will be 2 pages, with the first page being the fact sheet and the second page being a reference list. References are excluded from the 1000-word limit. Students will be given a chance to learn about the construction of Educational Factsheets and effective communication in this format during weekly seminars.
