Purpose: a proposal is like a formal statement of intent, a plan that you need to get approved before you put it into action. This assignment will give you the chance to state your plan for the multigenre project to your course instructor.

Task: Create a one-page proposal for your multigenre project. Your instructor will read through your proposal and give you feedback.

Requirements:

1. Begin your proposal with your most important research question. (For example, Is football safe for kids?)

2. State a working title for your project. (E.g. "Football: Making the Sport Safer for Kids in the Twenty-First Century")

3. Describe the three genres you plan to use in your project. *Hint: Look through the list of options for Academic Genres, Workplace Genres, and Public Genres in the textbook for ideas. Keep in mind, though, that you don't have to limit your selection to just these genres--what other genres might be a good fit for communicating your most important ideas about your topic? Could you, for example, create a news broadcast that focuses on a recent injury in youth football?
