Introduction:

This capstone project provides students with a unique opportunity to carry out independent research to address real world problems. Whilst the project can be challenging, the experience helps students to hone their professional knowledge and skills and prepare them for the demands of working in industry.

The Capstone projects are often completed in groups and this provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership and project management skills, and collaborate effectively with team members to meet set timelines. These are important skills for any public health professional working in industry

The aim of this assessment is to provide a framework for students to progress their project with set milestones to be achieved

Instructions:

Assessment 1: Part A Present Research Proposal to the capstone Due by week 2 supervisor

In class in week 2, you will be required to meet with the capstone supervisor and orally present the following:

• A revised plan of the research proposal as presented in Capstone A

• Identify where feedback was received and what you adjusted in response to the feedback

• Present a Research Plan with agreement from team members about task allocation,

Students presented a Research Plan and scheduled 3 meetings with capstone supervisor

All criteria must be passed in order to receive a passing grade in this hurdle assessment

As per the milestones outlined below, students will meet with the capstone supervisor to present progress and use the opportunity to receive feedback and direction to progress the project. Drafts should be presented in the meetings
