Thanks Childhood Development Human development, and growth process is a complex web of interconnecting mechanism that makes up each individual. From conception to old age, each phase goes through a series of changes throughout and individual’s lifetime. The focus of this paper is on childhood that begins at age two through age 12, stopping right before puberty and the adolescent years begin. In discussing childhood development, there are key areas that need to discuss to have a better understanding of how a child progress from one stage to the next. To look at the biological aspect that are the bodily changes, maturation, and growth; the psychological aspect that deals with emotions, personality social interaction and expectation; cognitive aspect that looks closely at the mental process of knowledge, imagining, perceiving, problem-solving, and reasoning. Neurological development is an important aspect in childhood as it contributes significantly to the physical skills in children; social and emotional development are linked as they involves parents and caregivers and how a child expands on the knowledge of the world, recognizing, and understanding of emotions.
