Overview The International Bill of Human Rights consists of UDHR, ICCPR, and ICESCR. In this task, students write an essay on one of the listed topics. Each student will write about a human rights topic. Students are free to focus on a single or multiple number of examples in eliciting their response. Students are encouraged to select their examples based on their own independent research. The purpose of this task is to further build on the student’s understanding of the foundations of human rights, respond to a complex human rights essay question, and enhance their academic writing skills. Illustrate the importance and historical and philosophical emergence of specific aspects of international human rights, using credible academic sources to support your arguments. 3.
