Question 1 (Week 2 Tutorial)
Decision making is regarded as the group affair and there are also various types of participation in the entire decis
ion making procedure.
In short Hierarchy of the information- based business decision makers are as follows:
Top tier (visionaries)
· Every decision is mainly guided by the business research (Bacon and Schneider, 2019)
· Companies tend to develop proprietary methodologies as well as are quite innovative in their combination in terms of the methodologies
· Company-wide access toward findings and research data
Base tier (intuitive decision makers)
· Most of the decisions are only made on the basis of instinct or the previous experience
· Decisions are also supported with the limited amount of qualitative research
Middle tier (standardised decision makers)
· Companies use true and tried methods prohibiting others that might be perfect
· Some of the decisions are entirely based on the business research
· Decisions are also supported by the limited qualitative research (Probst and Bassi, 2017)
Throwing light on the above-mentioned discussion it can be said that top-tier visionaries are the level that has the maximum chance with regard to the success because of some of the reasons. The following are some of the reasons:
· Firstly, each of the decisions is highly guided by the business research so there is no chance of any kind of mistake
· Secondly, they also are that as it may, without a doubt valuable in specific conditions, the use of such exploration exceptionally relies upon the sort of choices being made, particularly in the business world.
· Thirdly, their choices shift along two measurements: control and execution. Control thinks about the amount we can impact the conditions of the choice and the result. What's more, execution tends to the manner in which people measure achievement. So the chances of success is quite high
