Your report should include: * A brief description of the functional organisational setting (include organisational structure diagram in appendix). * The project environment to ensure the reader understands the context in which the project is set. * An outline of the objectives of the project and the importance of the project to the organisation. * A detailed overview and analysis of the use of relevant project management concepts, tools and techniques demonstrating knowledge and understanding of project management as covered in the subject. This section should comprise the main part of your assignment. The analysis should cover the following as a minimum: * How the project should be defined * Scope check list: objective, deliverables, milestones, technical requirement, limitations & exclusions, review) * establishing project priorities: constrain, enhance, accept * provide WBS with diagram and discuss how it helps project manager * How WBS is integrated to the organization with coding it to the Information System * A discussion of the project plan with network diagram and Gantt chart (charts may be included in Appendix). * Estimating Project times and costs: discuss the method of estimating, top-down or bottom-up, and factors affecting the quality of estimates * Scheduling resources and costs depending on Time and resource constrains and allocation methods and benefits of scheduling. * The management of project risks following the 4 steps: identification, assessment, response develop, response control * Project team issues and performance management All of the concepts in the list above should be addressed, but some of them may be more important for your particular project than others. Feel free to focus your analysis more heavily on the issues that particularly impact your project.
