Abstract
Information systems in education play a vital role in exhibiting the advanced means of learning. Due to the wide reach of the internet services, it is important for the students and the administrators to ensure that the student learning is not inhibited by the overuse of the internet. This research highlights the diverse systems and procedures that are generally implemented. It has yielded the results that the distractions in studies are mainly due to the extreme games and the other internet based engagement activities. Therefore, it may be ensured or concluded that the Internet based leaning should be restricted by a firewall, where the learning website and educational websites will be allowed to be accessible by the students. This has been evident from the perspective
views of the professors, which has been elaborated in the Delphi analysis of this research.

1. Introduction
This research has involved works on different kinds of downsides and pitfalls in the processes of information technologies involved in the educational system. This report has given a brief understanding of the fact that how information technology can degrade the quality of education in a large context. Other than that, it has also allowed improvement and betterment of the information technology in the context of the education system. This identification can help many organisations in general to improve their educational processes with the help of information technologies. Other than that, both the students and the educational organisations can be benefited, which is very important for the up-gradation of the literacy rate throughout South Australia.
1.1 Background
The world has seen many upgrades and constant changes in the platform of information technologies and system thinking processes. In the different contextual platforms, technological advancements are used for the betterment of those platforms. In this present research, the main topic of discussion revolves around the educational platform in general. Other than that, there are various other concepts of using information technologies within the educational platform.
Just as the positive side of the different kinds of technological improvements, there are negative sides too, which are very important to identify within the educational organisations (Lutz & Hoffmann, 2017). This research discussion is very important and relevant to the present scenario and that is the reason why conducting this research based on the pitfalls within the organisation is important and because of this, the contemporary educational platforms can be benefitted as well.
1.2 Problem Statement
The main problem, in this present research, is the different kinds of elements associated with the concept of using information technologies within the educational context. The different kinds of information technologies help educational platforms to evolve. The range of education has become better and wider due to the usage of information technologies within the organisation. Besides that, there are different other scenarios as well. The information technologies help the students to gain an education in very less time consuming and in addition to that, they can face and experience the knowledge throughout the world.
The information technology also gives information and learning from the different teachers and the professions from different corners of the world. However, there are various problems associated with information technology as well. The relevance of the information technology depends upon the availability of the proper network and data usage capability in the different parts of the locality (Salemink, Strijker & Bosworth, 2017). Without a stable network connection, it is impossible to enhance the usage of information technology in the context of the educational system. These problems are addressed throughout the discussion in this research paper.
1.3 Research Questions
The research questions involve-
· What are the different characteristics of the downfall of information technology in the context of the educational platform?
· What is the different usage of the technologies within the educational platform?
· What are the major disadvantages of the information technologies within the educational platform?
· What are the different ways of improvement of the information technology within the educational platform?
2. Literature Review
2.1 Information Systems and Education
The article “Information: Fundamental positions and their implications for information systems research, education and practice” by Boell (2017) have stated that there is a keen relationship between the educational system and educational platform. The world has evolved and along with that, the different platforms have seen betterment. They have also said that this has been possible through the usages of the different technologies within the context of the educational platform. Information technology has been the gateway of greater knowledge and the wider range of learning capabilities. This has been supported by Boell (2017), as he states that all of this can be achieved with the use of information technologies in the grounds of education.
Other than that, there are various other subjects as well that can also establish the fact that there is a very strong relationship between the educational platform and the technologies (Boell, 2017). However, this article does not focus on the traditional forms of education with relevance to the topic of the research. Therefore, according to the author, without the help of the technologies, it is impossible for the education platform to be better and to increase the literacy rate within the people. In general, the information technology stands for using computers and the different other technologies to achieve or acquire the proper information in a specific context. As the information is the central idea, associated with the technological part, it appears as a great help towards the educational system.
The author has also tried to justify the fact that after the intrusion of information technology, the educational radar has been expanded and it is utmost beneficial for the different types of the knowledge-centric approach to be taken in the educational sphere. However, as argued by Martins et al. (2019), not everything has both the positive and negative side and information technology is not an exception, which is why it is the reason why it is very important to identify both criteria to reduce the threats and use the opportunities to excel more within the educational platform.
The authors have also stated that IT is the greatest invention of the modern world. If the education and the information technology platform are merged then it can give birth to the new height within the educational spectrum. That is the reason why it is very important to understand the different concepts related to information technology and why it is important to be implemented within the educational platform is their opinion. Other than that, they said that IT could broaden knowledge perspectives as well. That is the reason why the usage of information technology is important within the educational context but there are some downfalls too, which needs full concentration to bring out the full usage of the information technology.
2.2 Downsides of Information Systems
In general, there is a bunch of different downsides of information technology. The article “Assessing the success behind the use of education management information systems in higher education” by Martins et al. (2019) stated that these downsides can create several problems in the context of the different platforms, where they can be used. Other than that, the information technology is based on the networking and that is the reason why the unavailability of the proper network can also cause problems in the context of the information technology, which is a major problem in the different contexts. As supported by Martins et al. (2019), information technology needs a lot of systems and computer-based programs. Because of that the expanse of the information technology and the maintenance of the different systems are much higher that is the reason why it can be said that the information technology is not that affordable to be used by everyone associated with the different platforms.
