Statement of Problem

Suppose that we have a finite population consisting of 100 college students and want to form a simple random sample (SRS) of size 20 to survey about some issues on campus.

Write a paragraph (Microsoft Word, font size 12), no less than 10 sentences, informing me of how you are going to generate this sample using only the random digits table located in the back of your book (Please use complete sentences; no less than 10). Your paragraph should include what your study is about, what you are asked to do, your numbering sequence, how it was obtained or determined, how you will use the random digits table, any omissions, population size, sample size, starting point and anything else that will enhance your description of this simple random sample. Your starting point will be row 4 column 3. Names listed below should be numbered row by row, from left to right, starting with Arnold. The last sentence in your descriptive paragraph should state the simple random sample generated of college students that will represent the students selected to survey about some issues on campus.

Listed below are the students within your population:

Arnold, Davezia, Abigail, John, Benjamin, Jack, Steven, Justin, Aliyah, Katherine, Nicole, Christine, Dorah, Ashley, Mollie, Tyler, Khasema, Kerra, Emily, Rithy, Tamara, Paul, Jeremy, Ana, Alyah, Daniella, Glorivee, Robert, Amelia, Taylor, Erin, Phoebe, QuiEssence, Jessica, Bethany, Rachel, Kevin, Liam, Anna, Ethan, Shannon, Jennifer, Roandre, Amber, Caitlin, Kailey, Kayla, Vanista, Alex, Jazmin, Brooke, Ricardo, Kazimier, Vanessa, Patrick, Latoya, Zakariya, Jelema, Brazos, Tanisha, Maya, Liam, Jordan, Mehulkumar, Cameron, Megan, Joel, Nora, Desarae, William, NaCari, Dominic, Facundo, Victoria, Katelyn, Christopher, Nicholas, Theodore, Telly, Mickayla, Margarita, Jeffrey, Lakea, Tyler, Haley, Kaila, Sean-Michael, Grace, Szymon, Hakim, Chris, Brandon, Micardo, Ben, Ian, Alexander, Karin, Andre, Dan, Alexis

I attached the random numbers table that the teacher said to use copied from the book.
