Introduction
In the project management, it is very important to have the knowledge areas and process groups. These are important as knowledge areas provide the project manager the inputs regarding the project and the process group describes the actions that the project manager will take in the project. In this report, the detailed discussion will be made with respect to the inputs, outputs, tools and techniques used in the project management for section of knowledge areas and process groups.
PMBOK Process Groups
In every project management work, there are five groups, which need to be there. Varajao, Colomo-Palacios and Silva (2017) have discussed that the five process groups are initiating, executing, monitoring & controlling and closing. The process group is bundled together with the processes, which are often operated at the exact same time when the project is in process and further with similar inputs and outputs. They need to be logically grouped together as the proper grouping will provide the guidelines or the overview regarding the things that need to be done in the project. Sepasgozar et al., (2019) have further added that with the proper management and implementation of the process group in the project it will be easier for project manager to manage the actions and immediately in the project.
PMBOK Knowledge Areas
The knowledge areas are made up of the set of processes. Huda and Aziza (2018) have discussed that the set of process where the knowledge area function are the inputs, tools, techniques and the outputs. The process if accomplished together will ensure that the entire project management function is driven towards the project management success. The knowledge areas identify particularly the specific skills and the experience, which are required by the project manager to properly manage and accomplish the entire project management work. These knowledge areas will further provide insight for the future-project management work.
