A learning space is a physical setting or environment in which teaching occurs. The learning space differences seem to have an enormous effect on teaching quality.Hence the aim of the whole research is: “To analyze the impact of learning spaces on the quality of teaching and learning.” The quality of teaching and learning is linked to learning spaces as if a proper learning environment is not provided, and then it would hamper the quality. The research being conducted on such a topic would look into the problem with further depth. The variety of teaching in learning spaces has either risen or decreased because there have been different approaches to it provided. For identifying such aspects of learning spaces, there are going to be various data collection methods used like primary and secondary data collection. Globalization has bought in different trends in learning spaces that provide the quality of teaching to change. Students seem to have adopted and molded themselves according to such changes. Also, it can be said that various types of educationare done like direct instruction or personalized learning due to which the learning spaces can be changed. The main thing here that should be addressed is to see how quality is being affected. Learning spaces can be in different locations like they can be either indoor or outdoor due to which each time the class is concerned. Background Learning has changed throughout time becausea new paradigm has emerged for it. Due to such changes in the learning processes, the learning spaces have also changed. During the 18thcentury, it was seen that learning was done in classrooms where there was a presence of the learning environment. It was started in the countries being Rome and Greece. The impact of such a learning space was that the concentration was put more on seeing that students only receive information from the schools and not anywhere else. It shows that the focus was not put on quality. This is because that the same teaching was given to the students again and again, and there were not any problem-solving skills adopted. This type of learning is still being selected in many parts of the world but has not been proven to be effective as students are not able to solve new issues that come their way. Outdoor learning space has been developed in which the quality levels have increased in some places, and in others, it has decreased. The problem-solving skill has led to understanding that outdoor learning spaces seem to be improving the quality of learning as well as teaching. This has led educationto have more problem-based studies to be done so that expert problem-solving skills and decision-making skills can be used. Another factor that such learning space has been developed is that the level of stress has been decreased. This type of learning space often shows that the teachers would have a higher level of opportunities that are being provided to the teachers. The level of teaching rises as real-life examples can be easily given at such a point. Indoor learning has evolved with the help of technology as students can sit at their homes and communicate with the teachers. This learning space to be practiced more because it is flexible. It providesa more comfortable experience for both learners and teachers. This is done because new technology has been introduced, which has increased the quality. Problem Statement From the background, it can be identified that students and teachers are affected by the learning space, which is being provided to them. The problem statement which can be made here is, “there is a high level of anxiety which is faced by students due to the fact of physical physiognomies in the teaching environment.”The students seemed to be faced with issues thatare occurring in the learning spaces due to which their knowledge is being hampered. The teaching quality appears to be also affected due to which crucial knowledge cannot be imparted. This researchwill help to analyzeand conduct the proper focus towards how students are being affected by learning spaces. The quality of teaching is affected since some of the learning spaces are not good enough for the students and often causing problems in their learning. The primary focus area of the research would be to conduct a literature review so that it can be seen how much of difficulties have been identified by other authors so that there can be a proper understanding of the learning spaces. It should be noted down that there are going to be different learning spaces due to which the quality in teaching may vary due to which students may be affected adversely. The gap that would be addressed here is to show how new trends in the market (technology) is transforming the learning space quality in teaching. By conducting such research, there would be a better understanding of learning spaces and their effect on teaching excellence. Objectives For having useful research to be developed, there are to be objectives set out. It is necessary so that there can be a proper path that is to be followed. The methods which are going to be used for data collection are going to be based on seeing that the objectives are met. The objectives of this research are: · To evaluatethe importance of learning spaces for teachers and students · To analyzethe factors impacting the learning space. · To determine the level of relationship between student & teachers' experiences regarding learning spaces. Research Questions These are the main research questions which are going to be developed: · How is the teaching quality being impacted by learning spaces? · What factors are affecting the quality of learning spaces? · How do the learning spaces create problems in student’s learning? · Are the learning spaces more focused on the students or the teachers? This is going to show that the research is going to focus on understanding how the impact of learning spaces is going to affect the learning and teachings. Literature Review Impact of learning space on student’s experience and quality of teaching According to Cleveland & Fisher. (2014), there seems to be the factor that post-occupancy evaluation (POE) seems to play a significant role in learning space. PEO takes into account that the quality of teaching is affected by the effectiveness of the student’s experience. It shows that the students’ needs are going to be identified first so that there can be further knowledge imparted (p. 25). The paper also discusses that in an education building, there should be several physical settings that decide how it is going to affect the quality of teaching. Some of these factors were that there should be proper planning done for all of the classes, proper equipment should be present for education, and also there should be a sufficient amount of space available. It can be directly linked to the research as it can be seen that such factors can enhance the quality of teaching. If there is proper planning, which is done for the design of the learning space, then it would be seen what types of equipment is to be adopted (Cleveland & Fisher, 2014). According to Dabbagh&Kitsantas(2012), personal learning environments have become popular since students across the world want more self-learning to be done. Here the role of social media comes into play as it helps to provide various amounts of information related to the curiosity of an individual. Self-learning has been on the increase for which the learning space has changed significantly. It of experience should not be considered unworthy because it has become a way of life. Social media usage has become significant as it is a virtual learning space where it builds on a student’s experience (p. 7). One of the significant benefits that can be seen in using such learning is that the student receives more of an expanded view of information. It allows them to understand the topic which they are learning about in a better manner and also that different angles of the problem can be studied. It shows that the quality of the teaching may differ as everything which is found on social media is not always true (Dabbagh&Kitsantas, 2012). Another author Sköld (2012), has also discussed that the factor of virtual learning has gone through a remarkable change. This author has focused more on the use of the internet rather than just on social media. The author seems to be focused on mostly one factor that the quality of learning is mainly affected by the noise and lighting that is experienced by individuals. It is what should be considered during virtual learning because if there is not a proper setting of the light, then it can cause eye strain for the individuals to occur. From this,it can be seen that even though there might be a tremendous amount of information that can be collected from the internet but if a proper learning space is not developed; then it can directly affect the quality. It is where adequate utilization of resources would need to be done at the end of the student, so it makes their experience more worthwhile (p. 29) (Sköld 2012). Based on the research done by Hwang et al. (2015), it is seen that flipped learning has become one of the latest trends which have affected both student learning and the quality of teaching. Such type of a learning space takes into account that whatever was learned in the classrooms can also be watched online. It is because classroom lectures are being recorded, and they are being provided to the students who can go further in-depth about the information they are looking for (p. 460). From this,it can be seen that students would have a higher amount of experience present for themselves as they are going to view the same lecture once more. It not only enhances the experience level, but the quality of teaching increased. There is more pressure that is put on the teachers so that they can impart useful knowledge as students are going to be reviewing it whenever they have a doubt (Hwang et al., 2015). Authors Byers et al. (2014), seems to have presented a whole new view on this topic. An experiment was conducted in this article between traditional learning spaces and modern learning spaces where it was found out that there is not much of a difference. A test was taken for both learning spaces, and only a slight difference was found out. The knowledge which is being given to the students has to be of good quality, or else the learning space is not going to be considered effective at all. There are a lot of factors that have changed in Education since the introduction of such an article by which if such experiments where to be
