Develop a plan to implement service quality management. OR if service quality management can be considered already present in this organisation and of an acceptable extent, consider where you might be able to take it from this point. Write a report for senior management outlining your plan for implementing (or extending) service quality in this organisation. This report should make reference to key sources of literature evidence, although an extensive literature review is less important than for previous assignments. In this case, the action plan is what should be emphasised. The actions recommended should be supported by evidence (either from the case or from literature). You may include a gantt chart or other project plan if you so wish. The assignment should be presented as a report to senior management of the organisation and should follow the structure given below. The body of the report should not exceed ten A4 pages. Where necessary supporting data and detail should be provided in appendices. The report should comprise: • an Executive Summary of not more than one page. This should state briefly the purpose of the report, key findings and recommendations. • Introduction Give the background and justification for the work reported, its aims and objectives and how you approached the assignment (e.g. what techniques/methods were used). • Situation analysis Highlight the main issues of the organization’s current position. Conclusions about priority areas for action should be identified. Potential interventions should also be identified. • Recommendations for change. This section should clearly outline the proposed change strategy including sequence of activities, priorities for intervention and proposed timelines for change. Identify roles for key personnel in the change process and any additional resources that may be required. • Appendices as required to adequately display the process that you worked through to reach your recommended strategy: application of frameworks, management tools; data analysis, etc. All appendices attached to the report must have been referred to in the body of the report.
