• Your client is the main library at your college or university.
• Your target public is incoming freshmen and transfer students.
• The library will sponsor a series of open sessions to acquaint new students withresearch capabilities of the library. The sessions will be held next week: Mondayand Thursday from 8 to 9:30 a.m., Tuesday and Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and Wednesday and Sunday from noon to 1:30 p.m.
• The sessions will be led by the senior research librarian, Bonnie Bookchecker(MS, Library Science).
• The sessions will acquaint students with traditional research tools such as books and periodicals, as well as with technological resources such as CD-ROMs and online computer searches.
• The sessions are titled, "Off to a Good Start: Library Research Capabilities."
• The sessions will be held in Room 102 of the library.
• Admission is free.
• Each participant will receive a packet of printed handouts.
• Following the presentation, library assistants will be available for guided tours of the library.
• The program is funded by the academic resources committee of the student government.
