Various art forms help the children to develop in a way so as to fit into team-oriented environment with tolerance and respect towards each other. These art forms help to develop empathy among children along with the educational values imbibed through educational curriculum.
)
Music: A social inspiration for kids
    Music develops a sense of building strong bonds and relationship between the children and the society they are living in. Music is also an art form which helps to improve brain development in children. A study done at Northwestern University has proved the fact that children who play some kind of musical instrument have better neural processing abilities than children who are not attached to music in any form. Music also helps to imbibe a habit of leading a disciplined life in children along with reliving them from stress of their day to day educational curriculum.
Musical Activity: Creating music from day to day items
(
Children in the age group of 5-7 years should be encouraged to create their own music through daily household items such as kitchen utensils in the indoor environment or other natural objects such as pipes and drums in the outdoor environment. This activity can be done individually or by arranging kids into teams. This activity can be conducted both in indoor as well as outdoor environment.
)
Purpose of the activity
    Conducting this activity will help children to be creative and will help to develop self-confidence in them that they are capable of creating music from what they see around them in their daily life. As opined by Mitchell (2018) musical activities also encourage children to be innovative and help them to relieve stress and also assist in the brain development of children. This activity, when conducted in teams help to develop a sense of coordination and cooperation in children as they all will play their instruments in sync with each other to create a melodious musical tune.
