Crisis Management Situation: Hurricane
Crisis management is an art and science of managing a sudden situation that may arise
from any sudden change brought by any unexpected event like the advent of any sort of natural
disaster. It should be noted that “Crisis intervention in natural disasters is important to look at
from many different angles. The points of views of those experiencing the disaster and those of
relief workers should be considered when developing models and considerations for
interventions and emotional care” (Szafranski, n.d.). After any form of natural disaster crisis
management becomes a critical job and in this particular job some important aspects must be
emphasized on including the focus on the environment of the disaster zone, the resources
available to cope up with the drastic situation, the ways through which resources can be
delivered to the area affected by a disaster, etc (Szafranski, n.d.). In this respect it should be
noted that crisis management in an event of hurricane strike is both a crucial and complex
process, partially because the nature of this natural disaster and partially because of the dubious
nature of its prediction. And to manage the aftermath of a hurricane attack and to protect the
populace from vehement hurricane invasion governments (along with the help of non-
governmental agencies) must prepare a strategic model addressing the physical and
psychological issues that can crop up after a hurricane attack.
Managing the predicaments caused by a hurricane is a challenging issue. But before

specific name for a strong tropical cyclone. The hurricane region is the North Atlantic Ocean, the
