Introduction
Depending on the point of view on abortion, different organizations have different definitions. Abortion is defined by most countries across the globe as an illegal act of ending the life of an unborn child that is punished by law. Similarly, the church considers abortion to be a sin because it denies the unborn child the right to life. This notion is founded on the idea that life begins at conception and should be valued and safeguarded as such. However, the widely recognized definition of abortion is the act of terminating a pregnancy with the primary goal of preventing the development of either an embryo or a fetus in the body. The topic of abortion has sparked a national discussion in the United States, dividing the country into two camps, each holding a different stance on the matter: pro-life and pro-choice. The pro-life movement opposes the concept that pregnant women may choose whether to abort or retain their kids, whereas the pro-choice movement supports abortion and believes that it is a woman's decision whether or not to keep her pregnancy.
