PowerPoint Project[15%] 1. Create a PowerPoint presentation. This presentation will relate to either of the following socially conscious themes: · A fundraising initiative by your organization. Identify the charity that will be the recipient of the funds and the activity or activities to raise the funds. · An awareness event, such as multiculturalism, recycling, aboriginal awareness, health and safety, mental health, etc. 2. Students can work in groups of two if they wish. 3. Using the list below include all of the following criterion. Your presentation will be assessed on these criteria as well as how the criteria are incorporated. · Presentation should include 8 - 12 slides. Fewer than 8 is not acceptable, but greater than 12 is acceptable if it is necessary for an effective presentation. · Design template – colours and layout are tasteful and attractive. It should support the information without being distracting. · Layouts—use of appropriate layouts to present the information so that it is well organized on the slide. · Bulleted items – attractively laid out on the slide, use a unique bullet design. · Slide Master – used to maintain consistency of font, bullets, layout, etc. · Animation/s – that add interest and flow to the presentation without being distracting; the animations will automatically advance. · Transition/s – that are subtle and effective, not distracting; these transitions will automatically advance without assistance from the viewer. · Graphics/clipart – that add visual interest without being distracting. · YouTube video – that brings helps to support the topic and add interest. · Hyperlink/s – hyperlink to a related or relevant website. Use a graphic as the object of the hyperlink. Add a Screen Tip for the user. · Audio—select music to create a more interesting presentation; should start and stop automatically. It does not have to run for the entire presentation. · Narration (optional) – add narration to the presentation to go along with each slide, as if you were giving a presentation to a group. · Notes – add notes to one or more of the slides. · The presentation will loop continuously. · All presentations will be shown in class on a date to be determined. · Proper referencing. 4. Send the presentation to Word and create handouts using the Notes next to slides option. Save the Word document as Yourname Word Presentation. 5. Add all your files to one folder, zip the folder. 6.
