The entries are expected to combine both summary and analysis, centering on the basic question of the challenges posed by the chosen theme for that week’s entry.

Migration in Nigeria
Nigeria is a West African country with an estimated population of 150 million people. Ill
egal migration is a problem in Niger. Most of the people migrate from countries like Sierra Leone, Congo, Liberia and Europe, Middle East. As per data from the United Nation refugee agency around 10100 refugees and 1200 asylum seekers are there in Nigeria. Around 7000 stranded Nigerian migrants from over 20 countries have been returned to their homes safely. This was conducted through a voluntary program with the help of the United Nations in 2001 known as Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration program. Out of these refugees it was found some were unaccompanied children and victims of human and child trafficking.
The present situation in Nigeria has changed a lot with more number of brain drains than the number of migration taking place. According to a data, it is estimated around 1041284 Nigerian national live abroad with most in Sudan (24%), United States (14%) and United Kingdom (9%).
