9. Now, take a look at your hypothesis and based on the statistical analysis, answer the

9a. Going back to your hypothesis, was it supported? Explain why you think it was/was not


supported. That is, thinking critically, why do you think this result occurred? You are graded on


your assessment of support and your explanation, NOT that your hypothesis was correct. Be sure


to cite sources, as appropriate.


And lastly, in HS201 we have discussed how men and women have different disease risks,


and that this may be due (in part) to differences in behaviors. Thus, our statistical analysis


now explores differences in physical activity, sleep, and fruit and vegetable intake among


men and women. Look at Table 4, which shows the group means for men and women


along with a p-value for group differences.


10a. Summarize, the differences (or similarities) between men and women, being sure to identify


when differences are significant vs not-significant, including the p-value as appropriate.

11. Now we would like to find out how our class data compares with results from other


studies on college students.

behaviors between men and women, published in the last 5 years using participants from the


United States. This study should be on one of the topics of this assignment: sleep, dietary intake,
