Introduction
It can be said that real estate and housing markets have been transformed by the financial excess and global capital markets. It is mainly regarded as the financialization of the housing and it mainly takes place when housing is used as a commodity and it is mainly a vehicle with regard to investment and wealth. This particular essay will be focusing on the United Nations Human Rights Council’s report released in the year 2017 with regard to the financialization of housing. Arguably, this report has showcased that financialization has a lot of demerits but still it misses out some of the most significant points. In a nutshell this report perceives that financialization only has bleak affect as it is used by the big players for minting millions and hence has negative consequences. One of the main aims of this essay will be shedding some light on the merits of financialization, highlighting the innovation in the finance have huge amount of positive effects. Furthermore, this essay will be arguing on the advantages along with the financial innovation’s need in the economy of India.
