I personally do not agree with the court statement as there is need of distinguishing between water and wetlands. It has found that United States Environmental Protection Agency has passed Clean Water Act in order to provide a strong guiding framework to identify waters and water bodies protected by the Clean Water Act. Section 404 of Clean Water Act deals with the protection and survival of water and water bodies. Since past decades, some critical water bodies were removed from Federal Protection causing confusion as which water and wetlands fall under the preview of Clean Water Act (Supreme Court Of The United States, 2019).
