EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Most of the companies are giving more importance to the planning and strategic management
policies. We know the fact that proper planning and strategic management policies helps the
companies for managing the competition in a productive way. In this paper we are mainly
focused on the planning and strategic management functions of the company Etihad etisalat. We
used primary and secondary data for collecting the information about the topic. Planning and
strategic management policies help the organizations for improving the performance and
reducing operational issues. According to the words of Thomas (2015) in order for attaining the
sustainable competitive advantage the company has to introduce productive communication
strategies for developing productive plans and strategies.

1. INTRODUCTION
According to the words Derin (2014) planning helps the managers for scheduling future
activities in a productive way. Planning and strategic management is related, while analyzing the
operations of the company Etihad etisalat we can understand that they considered planning nd
strategic management as an important function. As per the report of Business Insider (2016) we
can understand that the company used Mobily as the trade name in order for attracting the
international business organizations and customers. The success of the company is mainly
depending upon the strategies and plans developed by the leaders. While analyzing the
operations of Etihad etisalat we can understand that the company created a impressive brand
image in the minds of the customers and stakeholders. We know the fact that due to impact of
globalization and other recent trends the companies are facing problems from the internal and
external business environment. In order for managing the challenges from the external
environment they have to develop effective actions plans and strategies.
In this paper we are analyzing the planning and strategic management policies used by the Etihad
