Please select one of the three articles listed for this assessment task. The second paper you select following your literature search must be on the same clinical topic as the first article. It must also be a primary research paper (please do not select a literature review or systematic review). The study can be either qualitative or quantitative - you do not need to match design. You need to compare and contrast the articles. It is expected that you will summarise and critique both. The structure of how to compare and contrast that summary and critique is entirely up to you. If you are struggling with structure, then a good formula is to first summarised the research and then progress with a critique. You have critiquing tools provided in the workshops to help you with the critique and generate ideas. It is not expected you provide the critique tools or describe the papers as per these tools - in fact, please do not - just use these to help you appraise the research. The core concepts that should be emphasised is the internal validity, external validity, measurement validity and reliability for quantitative studies, and trustworthiness and rigor for qualitative studies. The assessment should be written as an essay with an introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion. The format should be APA 6th style - As per a prior post, we expect 7+ references for this assessment. References need to be presented as per APA 6th style. You need to provide a summary of your search that you completed. This could be summarised within the body of the written paper describing where you searched and using what terms and limiters, or you can append the search history. You will select ONE of the papers listed below. You are required to undertake a literature search to select an appropriate article to enable you to compare and contrast. The focus of the second paper that you select from your search needs to be the same as the one you selected from the below list and should be primary research. You are required to write an introduction highlighting the focus of your analysis and a conclusion summarising your critique. It is important that you include your search strategy in this assessment piece. The search strategy can be a screen capture of your Library search.
