Criminal investigation is no less than finding needle in the haystack; the investigators have to go through several ways that are precisely such as combing the crime scene with regard to take up the leads (Casey, 2019). These leads can have two types namely. They can be taken up from the victims or from the suspects. These leads have further divisions such as object observation at the crime scene, discussions with the victim about the event, taking up the fingerprints from the crime scene as well as sampling for DNA match.
Altogether, there is a mixed use of professional approach, along with technology, which helps the investigators to make sure that they collect perfect data. In filtering the leads, in the present days, use of technology has emerged as one of the decisive factors that are helpful in cracking some particular case. As per the use of technology, DNA sampling and fingerprint match are the two ways of taking lead at the crime scene.
