Each immigrant generation has own different behavior and culture that differentiates
them with each others. First immigrant generation are born in a foreign nation and then come to
the USA, so they do not properly speak English or speak it poorly. On the other hand, second
generation are the children of first generation those are a citizen and born in the USA because
their parent are coming to USA in the first generation. In addition, the second generation speaks
English much more frequently than their parents' languages (Burns, 2010). This generation
people are bi-cultural and they are exposed the American culture that creates differences in its
generation and its parents first generation culture or behavior.
On the other hand, the third generation is the kids of children or second generation. This
generation people speaks English frequently that their parents and rarely speak its grandparents'
language. Their cultural and behavior is totally different with its grandparents or first generation
as they have totally increased the American culture. First generation people are foreigner and
their culture is totally different with American culture or third generation culture (d'Appollonia
& Reich, 2010). First generation people maintain cultural beliefs of their country of origin and
their cultural background factors are the likelihood of victimization and crime.
First generation people follow traditional options to deal with wife abuse and apply
strong paternal believes, values and tradition. In addition, a second generation group of people
still influenced by their parent native culture when they went to school or jobs within the
American community. The majority of people of the second generation have same ethnicity of
the first generation, so they look like its parent’s generation but begin to act or behave like

A minority group is a social group that is differentiated on the basis of demographic
differences. It is a subordinate group those members have significantly less control or power
over their lives then dominant member of a group. The minority group differentiates on the basis
of one or more observable human characteristics such as gender, ethnic, religion, health or sexual
orientation. On the basis of mental illness and psychotherapy minority group also differentiate
such as Irish people, African Caribbean people, Asian people and Chinese people. Irish people
belong to the UK have much higher rates of depression, mental and alcohol problems (Tseng &
Streltzer, 2008). In addition, in the UK hospital administration rates much higher for mental
health treatment, so there are bigger risk of suicide.
On the other hand, African Caribbean people living in the UK have lower rates of
common mental disorder problems rather than other ethnic or minority group but they are more
faced the several other mental illness and psychotherapy problems. This group people are more
than three to five times admitted to hospital for schizophrenia than any other group. In addition,
Asian people statistics numbers of mental illness are inconsistence while they are often
unrecognized or not diagnosed (Peate, 2012). This minority group also has better rate of recovery
from mental health problems or schizophrenia due to higher support of family.
Along with this, Chinese person's minority also has very little ratio or statics of mental
illness and psychotherapy. High family support or close relation to the family member structure
of the community provides strong support of patients with mental illness and encourage them to
improve their health (Fawcett & Karban, 2013). The close family structure of the Chinese and
