The major written assignment for the course is the new product “Mini” case (text pages 329-330) developed as the Final Paper for the course. This paper should demonstrate understanding of the reading as well as the implications of new knowledge. The eight-page paper should integrate readings and class discussions into work and life experiences. It may include explanation and examples from previous experiences as well as implications for future applications. The purpose of the Final Paper is for you to culminate the learning achieved in the course by describing your understanding and application of knowledge in the field of Finance. In parts “a” to “c” of the case, summarize your analysis in a concise management statement not to exceed a total of 350 words. Use formulas to calculate the ratios and format the cells to insert a comma if there is more than three numbers. (Round to the nearest whole number.) In parts “k” to “n” of the case, summarize your analysis in a concise management statement not to exceed a total of 1,000 words. The Final Paper will contribute 15% to the course grade.

Focus of the Final Paper

The Final Paper should focus on real life, real time application of topics covered in this course; the uses you have seen and the uses you can envision. The paper must be submitted to your instructor no later than 11:59 pm of the last day of class.

Writing the Final Paper

The Paper:

?         Must be eight- to ten- double-spaced pages in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.

?         Must include a cover page that includes:

– Student’s name

– Course name and number

– Title of paper

– Instructor’s name

– Date submitted

?         Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.

?         Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
