Types of crime displacement
1. Temporal displacement: According to Wang, Zengli, et al it refers to changes made by offenders selecting time to commit crime. For instance, police patrol vacant building in night as no one is there in night. Offenders change their plans to different time to avoid getting caught.
2. Tactical displacement: This is a switch which is used by offenders to modify the strategy to commit the crime. For example, to reach US illegally many people use Mexico borders.
