    The origin intersectionality goes back to 1989 when the American civil rights advocate Kimberlé Crenshaw coined the term. It can be described as a structure that can be used to analyse and understand an individual’s social and political identities come in play together to create discrimination and privilege. After more than thirty years, intersectionality is important because it is useful to underline how taking a single-minded approach cannot elucidate discrimination. It creates an understanding that it is not sectional but, it is takes all identities into consideration.
