1. The four models of democracy are Procedural, Competitive, Participatory and Deliberative.
Procedural democracy is a form of democracy in which the country has to fulfill the minimum requirements to be worthy of calling a democratic country.
This is especially in those countries which just have started with a democracy.
Competitive democracy is the standard and more prevalent form of democracy. In this, people select the best individuals to represent themselves and solve problems of the community and
Participatory democracy in contrast to competitive democracy is a type of democracy in which the idea is to go beyond the walls of competitive there is a lot of common people participation in community and civic activities
Deliberative democracy is a combination of consensual decision making and the majority rule. Deliberation is core concept in any decision making in a deliberative democracy.
The model which closely resembles that of American democracy is Participatory democracy.
I would prefer Deliberative democracy because of deliberation which is an essential part of any decision making.
2. The constitution is something that was written long ago. Since then technology has brought us quite far that our lives had been forever changed and not just that, the demographics and psychographics have changed. What implied back then could have no relevance now. So, in my opinion the constitution was written to be a form of a basis on which laws can be made and hence it in its very nature, to be loose rather than be, strict. The farmers would want their constitution to be moderately flexible as they would have wanted to reap the benefits of globalization and thus better markets for their farm produce but at the same time they would have wanted them to be safeguarded against large corporations posing a threat to their livelihood.
3. The American bill of rights is largely based on the English Bills of Rights which essentially lays down a framework of civil liberties for the new nation. In my opinion it has played a key role in the recent American history. In fact, many countries have had similar bills of rights for e.g. Britain and Canada. It is a part of the first amendment which is often the most quoted constitutional amendment because it stands for the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press and the rights to public assembly and that is why it's relevant and important even today.
