This was based on a mission statement with most of the characteristics listed in Table 2-3 of the textbook for the mission statement (David & David, 2017, page 47). This statement of mission was limited in nature and contained under 150 words. Inspiration and the mission statement stayed "to help patients resolve serious diseases." Although this mission statement shows that the company is socially conscious, I did not think that there was enough reason to conclude that this was the case. This mission statement comprised nine components and I found that it had more of a mission statement than the other two mission statements. And the mission statement was lacking evidences of the environmental obligation of the company.           It should be recognized that a specific statement would reflect the intent and goal of the company in creating a statement of mission. The Mission Statement offers a framework and introduces objectives and priorities without restricting the potential of innovation and creativity. The mission statement unites and reconciles differences among the organization's various stakeholders. The mission statement should only last for 150 words and the product or service offered by the organization should be defined. The mission statement will show that the company is responsible both socially and environmentally. The statement of mission should also include 9 components of the statement of missions, as illustrated in the textbook (David & David, pages 46-48, 2017).          One of the aims of the mission statement is to explain what the organization is and what it is not. This helps to give greater focus to the organization's management and employees. And it helps to define what the organization should hope for the consumer. An example would be the exact nature of the work performed and the clients they serve, and the quality of services provided, by a consultancy firm (Kenny, 2014). An example of this. Not every company has drawn up an appropriate mission statement defining which product or service is supplied. The management and staff and future customers may be irritated by this.           It was more inspiring to me the Aflac mission statement. This mission statement was concise and based on how and why Aflac provided the best insurance. It remains broad and still gives Aflac employees the required attention. I find it motivating to demonstrate the intent and course of the Aflac Organization even though it does not possess all the features and components of a Mission Statement. Your Company’s Purpose Is Not Its Vision, Mission or Values. Harvard Business Review.  Discussion 2 Jonathan Yon Lowe’s mission statement is committed to providing individuals and businesses, the latest high-tech products at the lowest prices of any retail store. They are serving north America, China, and other markets, all Best Buy employees are exceptionally knowledgeable about the products we offer. We believe good ethics is good business and use business analytics to better understand customer trends. Lowe’s strive to make a profit for our shareholders and be a good community citizen everywhere we operate (Fred R. David and forest R. David,2015).   UPS mission statement is committed to exceeding the expectations of our homebuilder, homeowner, and other customers. We offer superior home improvement products and expert advice at nearly 2,000 Lowe's stores in the US, Canada, and Mexico. UPS has the best-in-class electronic in-store tracking system to help customers continue to create jobs in all communities where They operate. Somewhere around 80 percent of UPS employees work on a full-time basis and have high ethical standards. UPS put their consumers first as they strive to grow profitably for our shareholders (Fred R. David and forest R. David,2015).   Crocs, Inc strives to be the most timely and dependable parcel and freight forwarding delivery service in the world. By implementing the latest tracking technology, Crocs, Inc is able to profitably grow by offering individuals and businesses dependable and accurate delivery time. They promote from within to improve morale among all employees. Crocs Inc's philosophy is to responsibly balance the needs of its customers, employees, shareholders, and communities in an exemplary manner (Fred R. David and forest R. David,2015).                I chose Lowe’s mission statement. I believe a mission statement needs to be able to clarify the intentions of their business while being inspirational and meaningful to consumers and their employees. A Successful mission statement will take time to create, but when they are developed well such as Lowe's, they will usually provide a company with a clear direction with a purpose. This is the reason I choose Lowe’s mission statement Low’s believe in good ethics is good business and use business analytics to better understand customer trends.              Reference:  Strategic concepts and cases 16th Edition Management Fred R.
