Please respond to another student's post thoughtfully. Roles of Public Health discussion with students 1st student The health care in our society has a very important value for us since it favors their participation and mobilization particularly for social groups in disadvantage, for example in the groups of people vulnerable to contract sexual transmitted infections health care creates campaigns where people can have free examinations to detect if they are infected with venereal diseases and this way to be able to treat them to improve their health and also to prevent that they infect more persons in the population. There are always organizations created either by the government or NGO´s to try to stop the spread of diseases in people, because it is also cheaper to help people prevent disease and have a healthier life than to treat the disease. I feel that if health care did not exist, there would be more chaos in the population than there is today with respect to disease. So some of the roles of healthcare would be. Diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community Monitor healthstatus to identify and solvecommunity healthproblems PreventtheSpread of Communicable Disease Try to save a lot of lives at the same time. 2nd student discussion Public health is the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life, promoting health, and protecting/improving the health of people and their communities.
