Marcus Mccall Hello, Class; my name is Marcus McCall. I’m from Dallas, TX, and I look forward to the weekly interaction. I earned my BBA in Management from Northwood University and an MBA from Ashford University in Human Resources. I’m in the Master’s program- Human Resource Management, and I look forward to the challenge. I am a Talent Acquisition Recruiter for Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits. I also served ten years in the military between the Marine Corps and Army Reserves. My time in the military has allowed me to travel to different places and work on my leadership skills. I'm excited to learn new processes to incorporate into my daily responsibilities as I gain more leadership responsibilities. I look forward to learning and using innovative procedures in my work center. After completing this degree plan, I plan to seek a leadership position as an executive headhunter. Executing a successful C-suite executive search requires a great deal of business acumen. Being from Texas, I’m a big Dallas Cowboys Fan. Go, Cowboys !! I will use the information I learn in this class professionally and personally. I have learned a few things here and there from other courses, which I have been able to apply to my work, which has been a much better workplace, I would say. I will use what I learn in this class in my professional experience and educate others who may lack knowledge. Marcus Mccall Hello, Class; my name is Marcus McCall. Kilburn Fulton (he/him/his)- HRM640: Performance Management: Metrics and Measurement of Human Resources Marcus Good morning and welcome to HRM 640. Thank you for your service, I hope you are still in the reserve. I hope you find the class interesting, fun, and somewhat of a challenge. I see from your introduction you have experience as a recruiter, has anyone ever come back to you and said that you are looking for the wrong type of person, or that you need to find better-qualified candidates? It is interesting that they don't look at the job description and other aspects of the position to properly word the document to get the best-qualified candidate. You don't see too many people running around saying we only hire unknowledgeable, unskilled, unqualified employees. So, if we hire competent people where is the system broken? training of the employee, mixed messaging from front-line management, unexplained expectations, poorly written job descriptions, or messaging from executives on the vision of the organization? there are many things that need to be considered and they are never looked at. We expect, on an exit interview to get the person to identify the issue but in reality, we get a sugar-coated statement. We need to keep an eye on the end goal and not be so short-sight in the conduct of the review Again welcome to HRM640, I look forward to learning with you over the next six weeks V/r Kip Kilburn Fulton (he/him/his)- HRM640: Performance Management: Metrics and Measurement of Human Resources Marcus Good morning and welcome to HRM 640.
