Rotary Club of Hawthorn (RCH) is the tenth club amongst the 33,000 Rotary International (RI) clubs across 2000 countries in the world. Sharing the same ideology and framework of the organization world over the club aims to work for humanitarian causes like enabling the basic living amenities: clean water, sanitation and hygiene; safety from diseases; welfare of mothers and children; education; help in development of local economies and promote world peace. The aim and work to be accomplished is multifaceted and far reaching and so the requirement for the smooth functioning of the cause calls for strong fundraising solutions. This is moreover crucial at the present phase when RCH is facing challenges of declined income and aged working members. Therefore to avoid future decline and sustain RCH’s charitable and humanitarian work alternative strategies are needed.
Response to Project Brief Requirements:
The Coffee Cup project aims to curb the existing financial challenges and increase the fundraising capacity of the RCH. There are few factors that need to be considered while doing so:
Assessing the Feasibility of the Project- Is the project practical and possible endeavor that can help in acceleration of funds is to be analyzed. Is the plan accomplishable within the estimated period and current circumstances is an imperative consideration.
Fundraising Potential- What is the estimated potential of the project. How much financial support for the cause can be achieved in a given period. Is the whole plan worthwhile to meet the financial crisis of the club. The question is imperative as this will determine the crucial future steps to be taken. The consideration of pros and cons is to be based on the close estimation of the fundraising potential of the project.
Development of the Business Plan-After the serious analysis of the money making capacity of the plan it is then imperative to give importance to the planning part. This involves various stages.
· Analyzing the demands of the market. What is the consumers demand and how profitable will be the production for the unit. Locate the potential sectors and places of demand. Market study closely would enable in planning the overall structure of the unit in regards to the production. It would decide the future potential keeping in mind the potential growth perspectives. The study will also help in planning the methods of effective promotion.
