    The most recent launch of "Operation Sudden Impact" by Black & Decker marks a significant change in the company's strategic direction, with a focus on filling in the holes in its value proposition for trade’s people.
Operation Sudden impacting the gaps
    The activities under Operation Sudden Impact do seem to fill the strategic holes found in B&D's plan once the Business Model Canvas was finished. The company's goods were not satisfying the expectations of trades people, who require equipment that are long-lasting, dependable, and high-performing, which was one of the major gaps that was found (Chowdhury, Lau & Pittayachawan, 2019). The introduction of the De Walt brand fills this gap by offering a distinct brand that is solely targeted at trade’s people and has a solid reputation for performance and quality. B&D's inability to convincingly sell its goods to trades people was another flaw found during the Business Model Canvas analysis. Operation Sudden Impact aims to address this by providing targeted marketing and sales efforts that will reach trades people directly, with a focus on showcasing the superior quality and performance of De Walt products.
