Search and read the scholarly literature related to your topic. 3. Select at least six empirical, peer-reviewed research articles, and use these as the basis of your critical literature review. It must be published within the last 10 years (i.e. between 2010 and 2020) 4. Construct an academic synthesis of the articles, focusing on their contributions to knowledge, methodological approaches, and soundness of their findings. 5. Use this synthesis to then write a Critical Literature Review in essay format. Start with an identification of the Issue/problem. 6. Conclude your literature review with a set of statements that synthesise the main ideas presented in the literature review. Within this conclusion, identify a research question, or questions, that you would like to ask in your own study, based on your analysis of the existing literature. 7. Ensure that your essay is an analytical piece of writing, not a retelling of the story or a summarising of the articles.
