Iskashitaa was using up the unused lands of the farmers to produce their harvests by the refugees and supplying them to the people in need like the poor, sick people, differently abled and homeless ones (The Daily Wildcat, 2017). They include the refugees in their operations and reaches out to people to deliver their harvests. The concept of wasting food is tried to minimize, which attracted me in this journal.
People in today’s world are much more self-oriented and do everything to support their own needs. On the other hand, Iskashitaa shows that humanity persists in the community of serving the needed ones. Making use of the unused farms for such cause and not for industrial or commercial development was an interesting idea for me. The minimization of food waste by creating harvesting culture for needs is an innovative idea and even a purpose of employment for the refugees.
