THE TASK

2. Choose one current event from your media log (Appendix 1) that is particularly relevant to your organisation/industry (include an in-text reference). Provide a brief explanation of the event and discuss the potential implications for your organisation.
The political and economic war waged between the United States and China has put the peace and prosperity of the global market at stake. China’s threat of undertaking countermeasures against the US economic atrocities has triggered scepticism among marketers across the globe regarding the future economic growth prosperity. They are apprehending yet another global recession that will have the potential to impact negatively on financial institutions (The New Zealand Herald, 2019). This predicted negative implication should be considered a grave issue for our organization as it is thoroughly an entity providing financial services to individuals and businesses. A renewed recession will trigger loss of business and clients, and this means downturn in our organization’s business in the long-run.
3. Discuss and evaluate the internal environment of your organisation (e.g. culture, structure or internal practices).
The actual structure of our organization is a flat one. This has made communication channels stronger internally to a large extent. Despite having a small number of employees, a cultural of diversity characterizes our organizational build up, and this has contributed highly to the process of exchange of ideas, making the organization more innovative and sustainable. The reporting system within our organization is quite simple and it is a bottom-up process mainly. This has made it possible for the employees to feel more engaged in the organizational development process as a whole. Moreover, the flat structure of our organization has also paved the way for the management to rely on a consensual decision-making process.
4. Reflect on your integration into your organisation. Ensure that you:

What is evident from the test result is that, leadership is quite inherent to me. That is the reason why I fit thoroughly to my organization’s need of encouraging and motivating colleagues. It is quite natural for me to influence others, and in this respect I must convey that the organization has given me importance owing to my ability to lead my colleagues towards a direction that eventually lead to organizational growth and personal development. Moreover, my people skill and my communication skill also makes me suitable for handling clients on behalf of my organization in an effective manner.
