There is a multi-billion dollar telecommunication project where project activities are occurring all over Australia. Most of the actual project installation work is undertaken by individual sub-contractors. Several labour hire companies have been recruited to source the sub-contractors. It is imperative that the work undertaken by the sub-contractors is of a high quality and integrates with all other parts of the network. The material being supplied for installation has been sourced on a lowest cost basis from factories in China, Bangladesh, South America, and Mexico. The project has been underway for two and a half years and is behind time, over budget, and morale of the stakeholders is low. You have just been appointed as the project manager to rescue this project. What do you do?
