 Health care inequalities can be caused by a variety of variables, including the quality of care provided and access to treatment. This paper will discuss about the problems that the health disparities research community is facing in order to fill key gaps in the knowledge base and find effective solutions. As a result, the following are the reasons why obstacles arise and how they might be overcome.

New delivery models have been proposed by both clinicians and payers as a way to address health inequities. To promote increasing access to cost-effective and high-quality treatment, a whole new set of structures is being designed.

Quality improvement strategies have the potential to assist health systems in identifying problems with care quality. They provide a technique for studying care delivery in a methodical approach as well as a tool for adjusting an intervention over time. However, quality improvement that focuses on inequalities is understudied, with little emphasis paid to key outcome measurements and methodology.
