Please choose one topic and let me know which topic you have chosen
as soon
as you have made your decision. All papers should be no less than 5 pages (not including title, abstract , and references) and should be in a format you are comfortable with, but I prefer APA.

Remember, these are “research papers” so you are to research the topic and explain them to me as though I know nothing about the topic. Use at least 3 different references, one can be your text book, but the other two must be from other sources (not Wikipedia).

my topic is

  1. Gender identity

Please remember to cite your source, do not use the word “I” unless it is in a quote, spell check, grammar check and avoid plagiarism at all cost! Let me know if you have any problems and I’ll work with you. Do your research and have fun, pick something you do not know much about and learn from the topic.

Introduction
Gender identity refers to personal conception of oneself that is, individual identity of self, concerning their gender. Further, the concept of gender identity also refers to outward manifestations of personality, which could further be considered as the reflection of gender identity.
In other words, gender expression reflects an individual’s gender identity, which might not always be the case. This essay will focus upon gender identity and the importance of this concept for every individual. Further, efforts would be made to identify the formation of gender identity and its role in various aspects of life.
The Concept of Gender Identity
Every society in the world might have variable set of gender identities, which could then serve as the basis of individual’s self-identity. This is majorly because gender is considered as one of the major determinants of the roles and the responsibilities among the males as well as the females. Therefore, this gender binary is accompanied with certain expectations such as femininity and masculinity among all aspects of gender and sex. It would be essential to understand that society and surroundings of an individual plays major role in developing the sense of roles and responsibilities assigned to an individual.
Every individual is expected to reflect upon his or her behaviors, appearances and attitudes where gender would be a major determinant of expectations. As supported by Wood and Eagly (2015) males are considered to be tough and masculine while females are expected to be gentle, which complies with the body structures as well as genetic makeup of both the genders.
However, it does not signify that exceptions cannot exist. However, the essential and initial role of gender identity was to facilitate the expression of gender through expressions and body. Mental as well as emotional health is accompanied with gender identity and feeling free to reflect upon true gender becomes essential for individuals.
