The Social, Political and Literal Context of the Life of Alexander Dumas
Introduction
    There have been enormous events in the European history that has shaped the social and political course of the European nations. Literature productions are the best places to know about these changes in detail (N.A. 2018). In the context of French Revolution and its aftermath, the 18th century France can be perceived as the nation going through the transitional phase of cultural and social context. It was the time when Napoleon was rising to the power and at the same time, the cultural shift of the people was towards modernity and industrial changes. Absolute monarchy was in full trend due to the dictatorship of Napoleon. Alexander Dumas is one of the French authors that have successfully portrayed the lives of common French people and how they were tempted by the power and authority as well as by the use of Romanticism in literal productions at the same time.
