Biggest Threat to Cyber Security
In my opinion the biggest threat to cyber security in the next five years will be phishing attacks. In phishing attacks, digital messages are sent to the targeted people in order to fool them. Clicking on such links installs a malware on the system, which can then expose the sensitive data to the hackers (Cui et al., 2017). The phishing messages are becoming more sophisticated day after day and therefore making it difficult for the people to identify such messages. I believe the biggest threat to cyber-security in the next 10 and 20 years will be ransomware. Ransomware is going to increase in the future as attackers are becoming clever and can now easily adopt the changing nature of the technology. These technologies will be enabling the hackers the to kidnap the databases of organisations and ask for ransom to release the data.
