Ans.     Everyone has been the victim of a lie at some point in their lives (Nahari et al., 2019). The awful sensation of distrust is the same whether we've been handed a lie by a spouse or lover who's caught in a phoney justification or the CEO of a multinational banking business who's stolen from millions of investors. Our faith is broken, and we find it more difficult to believe the following time. When people in positions of authority or people close to you lie, you become dissatisfied not only with them, but also with the institutions they represent. Your identity and well-being suffer a new knock each time this happens. Our self-concepts are shaped by our identification with our work and governments. We lose trust in ourselves as we lose faith in others.
