Many times, it has happened that the authentic culture of a region has been disrupted in the wings of globalization. There is a need to recreate customs, rituals and rich heritage for maintenance of cultural uniqueness of a country and even in its various regions. As supported by Ferri (2018), to understand the people of a nation, their unique culture and subcultures needs to be understood and appreciated as well which is the purpose of this assignment. There are various visible subcultures in the US where the ethnic differences are highly noticeable.
The first one amongst them is the hippie subculture. It was started from a youth movement which was prevalent in the 1960’s had vastly spread across the world due to their popularity and have become a fashion icon nowadays due to their wearing of ripped off dresses as a symbol for roaming by staying in the streets.
